SFA Wins Big at Regional Science Fair

For all those who’ve been keeping tabs on SFA’s record of academic achievement the past several years, this news won’t come as a surprise. For more than a few years now SFA has been a force to be reckoned with at the Louisville Regional Science & Engineering Fair — and 2019 was no different. The vast majority of our Middle School (grades 6 through 8) qualified for this year’s Regional Fair, which was held this past Saturday, March 2nd.

The results: 31 of our students qualified for this year’s State Science Fair Competition, which will be held on March 30th at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. And if that weren’t enough, SFA’s five First Place winners from the LRSEF were honored on the floor of the Kentucky State Senate yesterday afternoon. The five students — including three-time LRSEF Best-in-Show Winner Henry Murr — traveled to Frankfort with Mr. Fred Whittaker to receive their certificates of recognition in person.

Way to go Middle Schoolers!
